Plane Jane (and oysters) at the Point

Charleston Harbor Resort jumps into oyster roast season

The post-holiday oyster roast season has arrived. One stand-out among many oyster roasts this month is the Harbor Resort Party at Charleston Harbor Resort (20 Patriots Point Blvd.) on Sat. Jan. 9.

Steamed oysters, burgers, dogs, grilled chicken sandwiches, s’mores, and bloody Marys will be on the menu, and award-winning local cover band Plane Jane will be on stage by the outdoor sports café.

Plane Jane’s Scott Sain, Trey Smith, Chris Williams, Jimmy Mac, Keith Bradshaw, Charlton Singleton, Ben Hawes, and Bobby Alvarez claim to be one of the Carolinas’ best party bands — and with their 400-song (and more) list of funk, disco, R&B, hip-hop, oldies, and rock covers, they keep the crowds moving at all events.

Admission to the event is free. Music runs from 2-6 p.m.
