Charleston based company Blender Bombs, which specializes in plant-based smoothie boosters, announced its newest product Monday. Bomb Bars, made by combining the company’s signature Blender Bombs with tree nut-free butter and dates, are now available online in five different flavors.
“I travel all the time, and when I do, I miss my Blender Bomb smoothies. I needed a Blender Bombs snack, and while there’s plenty of good snack bars on the market, none of them delivered on using real ingredients, packing a nutritional punch and tastes great,” said Blender Bombs CEO Helen Hall in a press release. “So I made a bar with half of an original Blender Bomb and a tablespoon of Bomb Butter, plus plant-based ingredients inspired by my favorite flavors.”
Bomb Bars are sold in packs of nine for $31.99, with flavors like peanut butter cookie dough and blueberry and goji. Each bar is gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free and non-GMO. The company also offers signature products like Bomb Butter, Bomb Drizzle and Granola So Bomb.
Hall, a wellness guru who also owns lifestyle brand Hushup X Hustle, started Blender Bombs in 2017, and her products can be found in several stores around Charleston, including the Hustle Smoothie Bar in Mount Pleasant Towne Centre, Whole Foods and Costco. The company is worth $12 million, according to the release.
Blender Bombs was featured in a Monday article by Forbes for Hall’s efforts in the weeks following the death of George Floyd and the protests that followed. According to the article, Hall traveled to Atlanta, Dallas, Santa Fe, Denver and Los Angeles in the company’s RV to hand out free smoothies.
