COVID-19 updates: South Carolina health officials reported 700 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday, with 17 additional confirmed deaths.

With 6,310 tests collected, the percent-positive rate was 11.1%.

As of 1:40 p.m. Oct. 14, via S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control:
Confirmed cases in S.C.:  153,729 (+700)
Positive tests in Charleston County (total): 16,034 (+23)
Negative tests in S.C.: 1,435,429
Deaths in S.C. from COVID-19: 3,387 (+17)
