What to know today: Demand for the COVID-19 vaccine is down in South Carolina, and state epidemiologist Dr. Linda Bell urged vaccine skeptics to reconsider their position in a Wednesday column. Bell touched on the small incidence of breakthrough cases, saying that just 155 of the 1.7 million S.C. residents (0.00013%) who have received at least one vaccine dose later became infected.
