Produced by local fashion and lifestyle marketing company Tailored by Taylor, The Lady of Charleston fashion-based pageant brings together the women of Charleston to celebrate confidence, leadership, and sisterhood.

This year's theme is "World Class Woman" and three new categories have been added to the competition: Urban Safari, Chic Paris Night, and Belle of the Ball. The pageant contestants (chosen through a panel interview) will don the duds they think best represent themselves and the respective categories.

Pageant founder Jacob Taylor says, "It’s so wonderful to have another classic event in Charleston. We've added many new things to ensure Lady of Charleston will be a pageant to remember. My vision is to create a tailored experience that reduces or even eliminates the thought or feeling of exclusion."

Taylor has teamed up with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and Save More Kids to host this pageant at the Music Hall on Sun. Oct. 8; the winners of the pageant will help these two non-profit organizations carry out a community project. This year's pageant features 12 contestants, with prizes awarded to overall winner, first runner up, and second runner up. Prizes range from spa treatments to photo shoots to a personal-chef dinner, and all top three contestants receive a trophy and sash.

General admission tickets are $20 and VIP tickets are $35. VIP tickets get you two complimentary glasses of wine, light hors d'oeuvres, red carpet interviews, and premium balcony seating.
