We love to celebrate all things Charleston, but the Southern Coterie Summit will do you one better. It’s a collaborative effort to celebrate the people, places, and things that make the South, well, the South.

The summit will take place May 1-3 at Jekyll Island, Georgia, and it will bring together the best of the southern blogging community, businesses, and brands in hopes of learning about all things southern and providing networking opportunities.

It should come as no surprise that Charleston will be very well represented at the summit, because everyone knows it’s a requirement to talk about Charleston when discussing the South. Many of the summit’s featured presenters (by many, we mean more than half) are Charleston locals and lovers.

Chassity Evans lives the charmed life in Charleston where she blogs about her fashionable, chic lifestyle on Look Linger Love. Stanfield Gray is the founder and executive producer of Charleston’s DIG SOUTH Festival. By night, he’s the lead singer of a vintage soul band. Haskell Harris is the founder of Haskell Harris Creative, a firm that specializes in interior design and brand development. Carrie Morey, founder of Callie’s Charleston Biscuits, will also be a featured presenter.

Charleston-based artist Lulie Wallace will be in attendance, and we’re sure she has insightful things to say, as her textile brand has recently been picked up by companies like Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters. Libba Osborne and Jackie Thomson founded Charleston-based leapfrog, a boutique public relations and marketing firm. They specialize in lifestyle related businesses, and Callie’s Biscuits is one of their clients. Are you seeing a trend? Amy Pastre and Courtney Rowson are the co-founders and designers of Charleston’s Stitch Design Co.

“We are really thrilled to have so many Charlestonian creatives presenting at the Summit,” says Southern Coterie founder Cheri Leavy. “They are some of the best in their fields, and our attendees will benefit from them sharing their experience and expertise.”

The Southern Coterie Summit will be an intimate gathering of southern creatives, offering rich conversation and collaboration, educational sessions, panel discussions, and keynote presentations from well-known southern (and Charleston) names.
