Ex-girlfriends have a funny way of creeping back into your life. Like for instance a Thursday night when your in the library studying. Your actually being a diligent student for once, and you get a text message asking if you can buy them some wine. You’ve just started to get back into that friends stage that you skipped during the actual relationship and now you realize there may be underlying motives. Being a general misanthrope I’ve understood very few truths about people. Axiom #1) People are selfish, it just varies in degrees. #2) Just when you think you’ve figured out someone they will surprise you. Sometimes this will be a pleasant surprise but usually it’s the same acts that further embitter me.
