Re: “The re-singing of Princess Diana's sad tale isn’t a crowning achievement

I saw this musical and it was funny and strong and lovely! The small, quaint theater only added to the evening! If you're in Charleston, don't miss it!

Re: “Come to Rodney Scott's for the 'cue, stay for the catfish sandwich

Why no love for the banana pudding? Just like Memaw used to make. I eat nearly 2 bowls after every meal there is complete. I order them like its for the entire group, knowing they will be too stuffed to eat any of it. Looking like I care, getting what I want.

Re: “Dee Dee Bridgewater offers hot tunes to a tepid crowd

I saw her show Friday night. She was fabulous and everyone around me, regardless of their color, was dancing and singing. Can't wait to see her again!

Re: “The invisible damage done by Charleston's smoking ban

I was told I had emphysema in 1987 when I was 45 years old. I smoked for 30 years, but quit smoking as soon as I was told that I had COPD. Quitting smoking was the hardest thing I ever did. But I knew I would die if I didn't. My health was getting so bad that I needed oxygen 24/7 and was down to 92lbs. Thankfully, in 1999 I got lung volume reduction surgery. It saved my life. I no longer needed oxygen and was able to climb stairs, dance, and travel the world. That good fortune lasted for almost 13 years. I am now back on oxygen 24/7 and can't climb stairs, dance or travel the world. i searched for alternative treatment Online i was introduced to Health herbal clinic by a friend here in the United states she told me they have successful herbal treatment to Emphysema and other lungs diseases. I spoke to few people who used the treatment here in USA and they all gave a positive response, so i immediately purchased the COPD herbal formula and commenced usage, its totally unexplainable how all the symptoms totally dissapeared, my cough was gone and i no longer experience shortness of breath(dyspnea), contact this herbal clinic via their email Info@ healthherbalclinic. net Or website www. healthherbalclinic. net Herbs are truely gift from God

It's sad to see Cypress close. It was always one of our favorite places. Craig's passion for food, and especially charcuterie, will be missed.

Re: “Come to Rodney Scott's for the 'cue, stay for the catfish sandwich

I have been here a few times now and have tried the pork and the catfish along with greens. It has been great every time I go. Rodney's is only one of two Q places I frequent and you are definitely missing out on great cooking if you have not been yet. Thank you for coming to Charleston Mr. Scott! We love your family's cooking!

Re: “Come to Rodney Scott's for the 'cue, stay for the catfish sandwich

Putting in a word, here, for the ribeye sandwich and the potato salad, which is a mustardy rendition that could have appeared at any of the church picnics of my childhood. Those greens are truly a masterpiece, and the catfish sandwich is a good reason to go there. I agree that the BBQ pork is hit or miss and kind of depends on the time of day. But it's full of flavor, and the prices are right. I love the place!
