Re: “Rally for Charleston Birth Place today at 4:30

Charleston city paper-- thank you for breaking this story. Your honest reporting and hearing the voice of the community is recognized. There is huge support for saving CBP ad our states birth centers -- this is a human rights issue-- about a women's right to choose where and with whom to birth!

Re: “S.C. natural birth centers could face closure by state regulators

We received the most wonderful prenatal care and gave birth to our healthy son Alder (in the water) at CBP in April of this year. The midwives and staff at the center provided our family with such incredible care. Birth centers provide affordable, personal, safe prenatal and delivery care for women and babies. Each visit CBP truly took the time teach me (and allow me to appreciate and trust) my growing pregnant body, baby, and the natural process of birth (and for successfully breastfeeding my son). Closure of CBP would be devastating to families and expectant mothers of the Lowcountry. I hope our lawmakers stand with lowcountry families to prevent losing this vital and essential health resource for mothers and children.

Re: “Controversy heats up over clay oven in Cross, S.C.

Kind Action is Truth by Example-- efforts of Carlie & April, coupled with volunteers who came together & learned new skills, brought and will continue to bring connection and community together! Beautiful Example.

As an aside: 'Being nice' isn't making unsubstantiated claims and then demanding money/rent...

Re: “The Carolina Chocolate Drops: sweet stuff from the Piedmont

We love the chocolate drops. The pour house WAY oversold this show---making it extremely over crowded. Probably a firecode violation. Seemed like they were more concerned with making money and getting people in the door than having people enjoy such great music.
