WMI raises money with Walk for Water

Fill your pail at Cannon Park

Sometimes it’s hard to realize just how lucky we are. Like if we want some water. We can get it from a cooler, a fountain, a bottle, and though some of us may cringe at the idea, even straight from the tap. Not everyone has this kind of life.Water Missions International holds its fourth Charleston-area Walk for Water, inspired by those in the world who have to collect their own water every day. The walk begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Cannon Park. Each participant gets an empty pail, which they can fill at the half-way point and carry to the end. The $10 entry fee benefits WMI’s work to provide clean water to those who need it most. Afterward will be food, live music, and family friendly activities.
