Re: “THEATRE ‌ Bring Out Yer Dead!

Patrick, I truly don't understand why you would take this opportunity that you are given to promote and review and provide press coverage to a local arts organization, and instead use it to quote Monty Python. I agree, it's clever. Your column will likely appeal to many people. They will laugh and reminisce about Monty Python. But why did you bill such an article as a review of the Ballet Theatre's production? Out of your article, you only offer up 3 paragraphs that actually contain information that is pertinent to the Ballet's production. What gives? You have such an amazing opportunity to provide the community with information about a truly wonderful artistic organization. Instead of doing that, you use your column to promote your own juvenile brand of humor, going so far as to quote a film that only has a tenuous connection (at best) to the CBT's production of Camelot. You yourself comment on the tired humor of Monty Python and it's over-quoted nature. Why would you then take up valuable column space to do just that? Maybe it's just me, but I'd like to think that you are more talented than that Sharbaugh. Work it out.
