What's a Nosh Mob anyway?

CP's reader appreciation party

We're gearing up for another Nosh Mob event on Tuesday night, but I'm sure many of you are wondering what the hell a Nosh Mob is anyway.

It's a regularly occurring reader appreciation party that is designed to reward our online users who rate restaurants and have an appreciation for food. Once you sign up for the Nosh Mob, not only do you get a special designation online as an informed restaurant rater, but you also get access to exclusive events. A few weeks ago, Charleston Grill hosted a Spanish wine event. We've also sampled bourbons, enjoyed burgers and beer at Triangle Char and Bar, and met local goat cheese maker Farrah Hoffmire at Avondale Wine & Cheese.

The next event is tomorrow night — Tuesday, May 4 — and it's in honor of the shrimp season, it's all about Wild American Shrimp. Blu Restaurant, a platinum partner of the Sustainable Seafood Initiative, will be providing cocktails, samples, and a fishermen to discuss the industry with us. They'll also be offering a special three-course dinner afterwards for $25.

Sign up for the Nosh Mob today and we'll send you the details on how to reserve your space.
