Hunter College has released a poll of lesbians, gays, and bisexuals that finds overwhelming support for Hillary Clinton (63 percent). The poll also found that gays tend to get active in politics as they come out of the closet.

“We found a stunning transformation in political views in the LGB community of a magnitude that is virtually unparalleled among social groupings in the U.S. population,” said political science professor Kenneth Sherrill.

The missing statistic is how our coming out shapes the political beliefs or our friends and families. I believe the shift is more than just the person coming out. Another interesting finding is that nine in 10 LGB likely voters wil vote in the Democratic primary.
