The comment from colkrny is reprehensible. Is this the actual party line from the Wikipedia hive/faithful? It's easy to trumpet that there are "many safeguards" against misinformation, but what, specifically, ARE these safeguards? That the admins hope and keep their fingers crossed, that nobody with a lawyer ever sees the damaging misinformation before another volunteer teenager with Cheetos dust on his fingers can "rescue" the article?
It is absolutely no wonder to me why the Wikimedia Foundation's legal counsel, Brad Patrick, resigned in haste this past month. He can't possibly keep Wikipedia safely hidden behind Section 230 of the CDA, if users like colkrny are going to actually stalk, harrass, and belittle those who would otherwise have a sound case against the Foundation.
Michael, I don't know anything about you, nor have I even looked at your Wikipedia article; but I know from experience that what you've said here is 100% the truth.
