I am very thankful for Jessica that you are so understanding. There are a few points in your article that need clarification however. You state that, "cross-dressers, drag queens, and drag kings are not transgender; they simply wear the clothes of the opposite sex for varying reasons. " These people are most certainly a part of the transgender continuum. I believe your are confusing transgender with transsexual. The simple definition is, a transgender individual is anyone whose gender identity is in any way different from the gender assigned at birth based on genitalia. Also, taking hormones for six months is far from irreversible. The only irreversible part of a transsexuals journey is genital reconstruction surgery. Thanks for your understanding.
