Test screening of Saving Manhattan in Park Circle

Part of a work in progress

The Greater Park Circle Film Society will show a special test screening of David Pilot’s Saving Manhattan on July 24 at 7 p.m. at the Olde North Charleston Picture House, followed by a reception. The screening is part of a work in progress and costs $2 for members and $5 for non-members.

Pilot will discuss his process for making the film at a free workshop at 5 p.m. “The discussion will include the challenges of making a personal film, learning from the strategies that failed, as well as from those which worked,” says Executive Director James Sears. “In the nearly 13 years since filming, the story has taken on a series of transformations, reflecting both the filmmaker’s experience and a vision of New York in the aftermath of 9/11.”
