Re: “Hampton Park was once home to bison, otter, and even a lion

In the late 50s and early 60s, I spent lots of Sundays lounging at Hampton Park. My friends and I would take our Sunday dinner and eat it at the park. I remember the monkeys, lion, deer, peacocks, bird house and bison. We would swing on the vines in the arbor area, mostly getting run off by guards when caught. Good memories, indeed.
