Terrace to screen modern cult classic The Room

You're tearing me apart, Lisa

The Room is an awful movie. It’s probably one of the worst films ever made. It’s so bad that Adult Swim has aired it as an April Fool’s joke. And people love it.

The Room comes from the brilliant mind of Tommy Wiseau, who produced, wrote, directed, and stars in the film. It follows our hero, Johnny, as he is manipulated by the love of his life, Lisa. There’s also a love triangle, an evil mother-in-law with cancer, a young man in danger, and some unbearably long and embarrassing sex scenes. It will play at the Terrace Theater on Oct. 29 and 30 at 11:30 p.m.

“I decided that for Halloween, instead of competing with every single place that is showing classic horror movies, that I’d show something a little counter — and weird,” Paul Brown says of his decision to screen the film. “I also thought I should try to listen to some people under the age of 30 and see what they’d like also.”
