Awkward! Does uncomfortable comedy make you squirm, or make you smile? If it's the latter, you're gonna love Ted & Melanie, a.k.a. Paul Brittain of Saturday Night Live and comedienne Jet Eveleth of The Reckoning.

Delightfully strange. As evidenced by Vimeo clips, Ted and Melanie are all kinds of bizarre, and each sketch pulled together for their Piccolo Fringe show is derived from improv they've done in the past. "We like to mix in silliness as well as scenes with an emotional core," says Brittain.

They can make rape funny. I know, that sounds awful, but just Google Ted and Melanie "Fifteen" and tell me that sketch ain't seriously entertaining. "What am I supposed to say to my friends? Oh, remember that guy I really liked? Oh by the way, I raped him." You get the idea.
