Taking Flight Comic Book Show Dozen

When: Sat., Dec. 5, 12-5 p.m. 2015
Price: Free to attend

A baker's (comic) dozen

Park Circle Comics has yet to find a brick and mortar to display their works, but have no fear, they’ll be setting up all their comics at their twelfth comic book show at The Sparrow. Jerry Lahm, owner and operator of Park Circle Comics, has been buying and selling comic books for over 30 years, and he’ll be displaying thousands of comics starting from the Golden Age up to present day. Also making an appearance will be local artist Proton, designer of the City Paper Music Award trophies this year, as well as 8-bit craftmaster Kelly Ochocki. “The Taking Flight shows came up as an idea between myself and Cami Kind, owner of The Sparrow. With all of the fans of comic books in the Charleston area, especially Park Circle, we saw a need for a regular smaller show where the emphasis is on comics, art and hanging out with others who enjoy the same things,” says Lahm.
