Take Me Back to Harlem ... The Semple Take is a two-act play presented by Arts Access South Carolina. Written by W. LaVone Griffin, the play is inspired by Langston Hughes' fictional character Jesse B. Semple. The play takes place during WWII and is part of a series of arts productions in the program Expressions: Vets by Vets, which is designed for disabled veterans.
