Tailgate for Clemson vs. South Carolina at Brittlebank Park

Park will host pre-baseball game festivities

As Charleston hosts the Clemson vs. South Carolina baseball game on March 2 at Joe Riley Stadium, Gamecocks and Tiger fans can look forward to tailgating for the rivalry on the water at Brittlebank Park, just a quick walk from the stadium.

Beginning at 3 pm and going until the end of the game, the tailgate will feature a variety of Budweiser products to be enjoyed under the two team’s respective tents, as well as an array of food, fun, and games for all ages, from cornhole to a giant jump castle. Mascots “Cocky” and the Clemson Tiger will also be on hand to entertain the kids. The first 100 fans, be they dressed in garnet or orange, will receive a complimentary basket from Raising Cane’s, while latecomers can treat themselves to barbecue fixings from local favorite Home Team BBQ.

Music will be provided by the WEZL radio van, blasting country music throughout the day, while the popular sports talk show Bobby Hartin’s Fan Talk will broadcast live from the tailgate from 3-7 p.m. on ESPN 910 AM. The entire game will be broadcasted live on 1340 AM over loud speakers located in each tent so partygoers don’t miss a single play.

Tickets may be purchased online at the Riley Park Events website or at the gate at 3 p.m. on the day of the game. Tickets are $10 and children 3 and under enter for free.
