It's accessible to everyone. Besides the fact that this event is free, the program is designed to appeal to a wide range of audiences. The Charleston Symphony Orchestra and Piccolo Spoleto Festival Orchestra, conducted by Donald Portnoy, will perform songs from West Side Story, Schindler's List, and more. The only challenge you'll have is finding parking.

Dance attack. The centerpiece of this event is a performance from the Charleston Ballet Theatre, choreographed by Jill Eathorne Bahr. These local dancers will perform Wings, with music by Ernest Bloch, and The Lark Ascending, with music by Vaughan Williams.

The prettiest setting you ever did see. There's plenty of classical music going on during the festival, but few concerts happen in locations as picturesque as this. Head down to the towering U.S. Custom House to listen to music and watch the sun set over Charleston Harbor. I'll take that over a concert hall any day.
