Folly Road is constantly bumper to bumper; trying to get off a residentail street connecting with Folly Rd is practically impossible, unless someone in the Folly Rd traffic lets the car enter. I think that's the first thing that needs to be looked into, and not necessarily more traffic lights. You can't stop overpopulation...and that's about where we are. I have told several neighbors and friends that there's so much more traffic from the Folly Beach side in the last few years, until I think these people are living on rafts!

If I were in charge of highway development, I would propose there would be a connection from the JI Connector to Folly Road, Maybank Highway, Harbor View, and Central Park Road, by way of overpasses, with exits at the major streets, such as Harbor Road, etc. That will both slow traffic speed down on Folly Rd, and take you directly to an exit nearer the street where you were headed.
