Re: “Taco Boy

Food was good, not sure it was worth the 45 minute wait. Was glad to see they didn't over use cilantro in anything I tried. My one complaint is that the music was SO loud that I couldn't hear anyone at my table. I tried to tell the waitress several times that the volume was excessive, but she couldn't hear me (isn't that a clue?) so I gave up.

Loved the restroom - men and women in the same room. I could tell the men were more put off than women. LOL

Overall, good food but I'd probably get take out next time to save my voice.

Re: “Immortal Lobster is up and truckin' with a launch party this Saturday

Any plans to come toward downtown or Mt P from time to time? I can't put myself into that traffic disaster that is Folly Road...

Re: “Here’s why protesters shut down the Ravenel Bridge Wednesday

Please, for the love of gawd, get a PR person to speak on your behalf. How can I, as a resident and voter in Mt Pleasant influence elections in North Charleston?

Be honest. You chose the bridge to get your message on the nightly news. Nothing wrong with a little honesty. But please, stop with the brunch attacks. Its just dumb.

Re: “Docu-reality show about Pet Helpers to air on Nat Geo Wild

I'm a backer from their Kickstarter drive. I'll be looking forward to seeing my name in the "special thanks" section after each show, as promised. Or is that not happening either?

Backstory: this Kickstarter campaign is one of the reasons I haven't backed more local organizations. They were successfully funded and seemed to drop off the face of the earth and never updated backers until I sent multiple messages to the organizer. She seemed to have forgotten what was even offered on the campaign. I realize that backing something like this should be about saving the lives of animals, and I donate almost exclusively to rescue every year. However, living up to commitments is a huge part of any campaign, be it for profit or not. It will be interesting to see if yet another promise by the organizers falls through.

Re: “'Announced' jobs aren't 'actual' jobs

Zee, have you considered that the cost of living in NY is higher than Charleston? I just did research on DC so I know off the top of my head that 85k in DC equates to 68k here. Homes cost 64 percent more in DC. That's why employers have to pay more.

Get a specialized skill, get paid more. And quit whining.

Re: “Since 2010, the Pride Festival has gotten bigger, more visible, and more welcome

We had a great time at the festival last year, brought the dogs, had some food and drinks and even though it rained, it was still a bunch of fun. Not one protester that I saw, and I was impressed with the number of corporate sponsors who were visible about their hiring processes and supportive benefits to SS couples.

See you again in August!
