Awaken the force

Less than two weeks remain before Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters, and the world has already gone mad. Two mighty factions have arisen amongst Star Wars anticipators, those clawing for every new scrap of information about the movie, and those who have isolated themselves in order to avoid spoiling their cinematic experience. Soundwave comics is all-in with the Star Wars crowd, and for one day they hope to unite fans members of all ages, galaxies, and spoilage levels. How? They’re giving away free comics. There’s also a costume party, a Star Wars photo booth, and, of course, discounts. Local pop-culture artist Proton will be appearing as a special guest. After avoiding nearly every trailer and spoiler so far, he will not be tolerating spoilers at the event, saying, “It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve punched someone in the face. Unless you’re a child. But even then I might ruin Santa for you.” A raffle will be held to benefit “Buy a Ticket for Dan,” which provides a movie night out for local cancer patients and their families to see The Force Awakens.
