Star Wars Day Party

When: Wed., May 4, 9 p.m. 2011
Price: Free

Forget Pi Day. The only cool thing you can do on March 14 is eat pie. That gets old. But May 4 is Star Wars Day. Why? “May the Fourth be with you” — get it? And there are just so many ways you can play on the Star Wars theme, like they’re doing at Jimbo’s Rock Lounge. Expect some geeky songs from a costumed Karaoke Chris during the Live Band Karaoke, and he’ll be asking trivia questions between performances. An HD projector will be set up with Star Wars video games. Artists Philip Hyman, Justin Cammer, Chris Tunstall, and Jeremey Hedges have created Star Wars-themed pieces that will be on display. And put on that gold bikini that Jabba the Hutt loved so much and take a picture in St. Jane Photography’s photobooth, complete with a frozen Han Solo; costumes are strongly encouraged.
