Re: “GOP will get ugly about the Employee Free Choice Act

I am not surprised that Mr. Moredock's liberal ramblings have come down to praising the union and the inherently corrupt EFCA. I am surprised at how many Americans have missed the pink elephant in the room. The auto industry is failing, Yellow-Roadway, the largest union trucker, is floundering, and Maersk is leaving Charleston with a nod to constraints laid out by the ILA. I belive strongly in workers rights, but feel that todays work enviroment does not warrent unionization. The union is simply the "Sopranos" in the work place. The head of the teamsters is still Jimmy Hoffa for crying out loud. They take a piece of your paycheck with a promise to protect you from the evils of management. When these company's go under and the workers are un-employed, will the union still be around to support them? Doubtful. The union leaders will be on to the next big project, unionizing Wal-Mart. The saddest thing is the union workers will still be standing outside the union hall wondering where their job ran off too.
