It’s not practical to adopt all of the homeless cats and dogs in the world, many of which are the unwanted offspring of unfixed animals. But it is practical to treat yourself to a dinner out Feb. 9-11, when four area restaurants will donate a percentage of proceeds from special menu items to Pet Helpers. The money raised will aid in the organization’s efforts to spay and neuter thousands of animals each year. So look out for the smoked tomato and mushroom ragu with housemade Italian sausage at Atlanticville, the lobster “Neuteroni” at J. Paul’z, the pasta a cacio e pepe at La Tela Pizzeria on Johns Island, and the spaghetti with marinara at Mondo’s. And get a doggy bag while you’re at it.
