Re: “Generation Vexed

Regarding the blurb that appears with the link to this article("According to a new Pew Research Center study, nine out of 10 18- to 29-year-olds believe they'll have enough money to lead the kind of life they want. Hold your laughter.")

Maybe some of those surveyed realize that job prospects aren't so brilliant and promising, that they may not be earning big bucks, but that they're willing to live a life that costs a bit less than that of many of their peers. Maybe that's why some of those surveyed said that they'd have enough money to lead the kind of life that they want. I think there is a certain subgroup of the 18-29 set that has decided that hard work and a less expensive lifestyle is actually more satisfying. I realize this doesn't describe everyone, but we exist! My husband and I, both with bachelor's and master's degrees, fall into this agegroup and have found happiness working for an hourly wage for the time being. We are working for more, but we try to remind ourselves not to overlook the joy of the simple things.
