Sideshow Press Sidewalk Sale

When: Sat., June 8, 8-11 a.m. 2013
Phone: (843) 793-4560
Price: $20
When we heard about this local letterpress company’s sidewalk sale, visions of NYC sample sale stampedes started dancing in our heads. The details are almost too good to be true: just purchase an 8 x 4.5 x 10” shopping bag for $20 and proceed to stuff it with anything and everything that will fit. Sideshow is cleaning out their old merchandise to make way for new, which means everything from cards to ribbons and other stationery needs will be up for grabs. “Shoppers will be able to select from letterpress social stationery sets, letterpress cards, ribbon remnants, overstock of a variety of paper, envelopes, belly bands, and envelope liners for those more inclined for DIY,” says Sideshow co-owner Amy Pastre. Once your little bag can hold no more, take a step over to the lemonade stand for some well-earned refreshment. Sideshow Press is owned by Pastre, Courtney Rowson, and Virginia Gregg. (Pastre and Rowson are also the co-founders of design company Stitch.) Since founding Sideshow three years ago they’ve been recognized by such titans in the all-things-pretty world as Martha Stewart Living and HOW magazine, and you’ll understand why once you take a gander at their vintage-inspired items. But be forewarned. You just might become a lifelong customer.
