Shrimp and Grits Cookoff

Around here, shrimp and grits are serious business. People know how they like them, and they’ll let you know if they don’t like your version. But that critique has led to some pretty tasty dishes around town. On Saturday, Shrimp and Grits Cookoff attendees will get the chance to nosh on 15 different versions of the Southern treat. Chefs from Eli’s Table, Halls Chophouse, Prohibition, Stars, Poogan’s Porch, Sermet’s Corner, Muse, and many more will duke it out to be voted the best shrimp and grits of the festival with guests voting on the People’s Choice Award. Admission grants you 16 tickets, where one ticket gets you a serving of shrimp and grits, three tickets score a Bud Light, and four tickets equals a craft beer, glass of wine, or liquor drink. Lumberjack Time Traveler and Shem Creek Boogie Band will provide the music.
