With their most recent album Ghost Town selling 3,000 hard copies and 4,000 digital, Sequoyah Prep School is riding the wave of potential fame to Charleston. Hailing from Florence, the band brings an interesting mix to the table by incorporating banjo and mandolin into many of their songs. Singer/guitarist/pianist Justin Osborne, bassist Johnnie Matthews, drummer Harrison Boyd, and guitarists West Jones and Jordan Hicks describe themselves as Southern rock on their Myspace page — but don’t show up expecting Lynyrd Skynyrd. They are a bit folky, with a sound similar to that of All Get Out. Since 2003, the band has released three albums and one EP, and they’ve played over 600 shows in 20 states with bands like Anberlin and Better Than Ezra. Sequoya headlines the Music Farm on Saturday with support from Wylie and Through Porchlight. —Caitlin Chimento
