Summerville just loves sculpture. They’ve got a permanent collection, with more than 20 figurative bronzes spread out all over town. And for the last 13 years, they’ve hosted Sculpture in the South, exhibiting and celebrating world-class art. Kick off the weekend with the Meet the Sculptors Reception on Friday night (which is exclusively for patrons, sponsors, or sustainers). The main draw is the show and sale at Azalea Park on Saturday and Sunday, which features a gift boutique, sculpting demonstrations, displays, tours, lectures, food, live music, and more. Kids can enjoy the “Arts Encounter,” where they’ll participate in hands-on activities. The whole thing coincides with Arts Education Week, which wraps up May 13.
