Re: “Local port suit gets Senate floor shout-out

If the people of South Carolina and the other states in the USA would examine the costs to their citizens that the lawsuits filed by the CCL, the SELC and any of a thousand other "Environmental Groups" they would see why we are so stagnant in getting important infrastructure put in place in our states, why roads, ports , and other job generating projects needed for growth and livability are costing 2 to 4 times what they originally planned because the lawsuits drag out these projects over administrative errors or "expert" testimony bought by these groups to stall a project until they have raised enough money by convincing their members and others in the public that we need them to keep us safe so the money flows in. Dana Beach has a Masters in Finance from the Univ of Penn's Wharton School of Business and works as an "Environmentalist". Perhaps that is why in the end of the fiscal year of 2007 the CCL had 9.7 million in assets with 3.3 million in excess profits that year alone. 2007 doubled 2006 and while expenses remain static revenue is shooting through the roof. Not a cent is spent buying land because Mr. Beach has found out it is cheaper to sue you and keep you in court at no cost to him or his organization while you slowly bleed to death.
