Re: “The Tyranny of Mark Levin's "Liberty"

Dan Hansen: multi-year occupation? I distinctly remember Cheney saying the war would last months if not weeks, certainly not years. Saddam was basically the mayor of Baghdad, with no power to harm the US. The feeble attmepts of neocons to view Bush's adventure as anything less than the worst foreign policy blunder in history (at least we inadvertantly eased into the Viet Nam mess) shows that they are less interested in the truth than in never admitting they are wrong.

Re: “The conservative hero that could have been, might now never be

Sorry your boy won't be the one to defeat the, what do you guys call him, the Muslim Socialist President. Why did the State Democratic Convention last month pass a unanimous resolution supporting Mark Sanford to be the next GOP nominee? He might not have carried SC, but he was pretty solid in Mississippi, Wyoming and Utah. What a joke. It's been obvious for some time now that he is mentally unstable.

Re: “Mark Sanford gets Stone'd

For once I can wholeheartedly agree with the UnGovernor. I too can live with the fact that the GOP seems determined to become politically irrelevant for the forseeable future.

Re: “The two-party Republican Party is Whig-ing out

My experience has led me to believe there is one fundamental difference in people who support the two main parties: Other than people who vote based on social issues (for or against abortion, gay rights, etc.), Republicans tend to vote for what they think will be best for them personally, while Democrats tend to vote for what they think will be best for society as a whole.

Re: “The man most loyal to the GOP's roots can lead them out of the wilderness

So, Santex, I assume you would be philosophically consistent and not call the fire department if your house caught on fire. You would just be encouraging the money sucking black hole.
