Are you kidding? The proposed garage height is as tall as The Boulevard...and I wouldn't say that "peaks" out. It casts a dark shadow and is an eye sore at the very least. Who decided Mt. Pleasant needed a high rise downtown? Doesn't speak Lowcountry to me at all. And I'm not a disgruntled "old mt. pleasant" person. I moved here 5 years ago because it felt small, it was pretty & I wanted to be close to the water & biking distance to Shem Creek. The tall buildings are just not necessary. Stick with 2 stories and we have a cute little main street with shops, restaurants, parks, etc. More people would appreciate that. Everyone likes the Old Village because it is just that. Why are we straying away from it?
