Re: “Robert Jenkins dresses like a superhero for a reason

Dear racist assholes,
Please go crawl back under whatever rock you came from and leave this debate to reasonable, free thinking humans, not to dinosaurs, such as yourselves. Someday, your small minded ideas and hatespeak will be extinct just like T-Rex and your ancestors will be ashamed at the vitriol you have spewed so stupidly and so publicly. Please fuck directly off!

Re: “Ben Bridwell and Band of Horses chin up with Infinite Arms

I know these guys may be your friends or you are just a nice guy, but this fluffy review of the new album is ridiculous. What made the first two BoH albums good was the open, big room emptiness in the mix and the sparseness of the songs that you mention. This album sounds like an over-saturated, 70's AM radio soft rock cliche-fest. The lyrics of Bridwell have always bordered on high-school poetry histrionics, but they worked cuz of the delivery and catchiness of the songs. On Infinite Arms, the lyrics just sound corny when coupled with the less focused, mid-tempo pace. What happened to the hooks?

I keep thinking that all these new collaborators have diluted the formula rather than added to it and I would love to hear this album without any of the cheeseball and at time annoying (NW apartment) keyboards and without so many layered vocal harmonies (they are on every song). In fact, NW Apartment simply sucks in it's generic-ness and it sounds like the kind of tune Mark Linkous used to fart out in his sleep. This member of the fanbase is not alienated, just disinterested. At least I'll always have The First Song...
