Re: “How South Carolina history was hijacked to sell the Lost Cause

When are you liberals going to condemn the Pyramids of Egypt as a "crime against humanity"? After all, they are monuments to slavery. Please join together in calling for them to be torn down.

Re: “Amendment to police body camera bill exempts video from Freedom of Information Act

Amazing this hasn't gotten more attention. Why is are we so complacent in South Carolina with the rash of all these unnecessary police shootings? And a bill comes along aimed at giving the public more oversight of it's police officers by giving them body cameras, then the public oversight gets neutered at the 11th hour before making it the law! So now, it'll have to be challenged in court, costing the public more in taxes ... and why should I as a tax payer be forced to fund body cameras that I can't even access the videos of through FOIA requests because the videos are not considered public records? The logic that these cameras might catch private individuals in their homes or whatnot is nonsense. Title 30 FOIA law already has exemptions for those sorts of public records concerns ! Fix this South Carolina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: “Libertarians are wrong about smoking bans

I agree, this article is sheer buffoonery and is hazordous to public consumption. Therefore we need to regulate it. We need a law to keep idiots from publishing brain damaging claptrap such as this. We need a law that requires brushing our teeth after every meal, and wiping our butts after every excretion. And a law that says no looking directly at the sun. We need MORE laws. To protect you. For your own good. You should not be allowed to do as you wish with your own property, and your body doesn't belong to you. It's communal property. The author made his case and we all should agree. WE own YOU. Welcome to the commune, comrade.

Re: “The case against Ron Paul and candidates who tell it like they see it

"By the way y'all, anybody else notice the demographic of Paul's support?"

I'm 41 years old and I'm a vehement RP supporter. I have been to his campaign rallies and his demographics are all over the place. I know a Citadel economics professor and mayor of JI that is a vehement RP supporter. RP receives more in campaign donations from the military than all the other repuglican candidates combined. You really need to educate yourself, you're not sounding too bright!

Re: “The case against Ron Paul and candidates who tell it like they see it

"So, Eric, you're saying status quo is fine and no change is needed?"

I personally would like the government shrunk to the absolute minimum possible. I want you to be able to keep your money and me to be able to keep mine. I think under a Paul presidency one of two things would happen. Paul would veto the government budgets until Congress agreed to cut as much of the fluff as possible resulting in:

1. A significantly smaller government

2. Impeachment

Which would be entirely up to what the American people decided.
