Re: “Ashley Lanes

it's your typical bowling alley, and it's clean with good lanes and great food and beverages!

Re: “Charleston Music Hall screens "one of the worst films ever made" this November

This really makes me want to see a movie I don't want to see!

Re: “Confessions of a Southern Charm Newbie: Our New Business Mentality

I think everyone knows what Soylent [green] is made of by now. :D

I keep hearing about this Citadel portrait yet no one places it in their post, what's up with that? Was the screen shot too difficult? I guess I need to watch this episode, but the recaps from here and Island Packet are too much fun to read!

Good job as per the usual! BZ

Re: “Confessions of a Southern Charm Newbie: Letting Ourselves Down

Good night, I agree with Patricia for once. Dinner party meet cutes work. They do.

When I was in my late 20s-early 30s in Charleston we had "Supper Club" once a month on a Wednesday night. You had to be legally single, you could bring a friend but not a date, and you had to dress nicely and show up if you RSVP'd that you would. We met at various restaurants around town. The restaurants would offer a special or a couple of free hors d'oeuvres. It was started by some lawyers in town and was by invite only. It fell apart after a great four or five year run, when someone from N Chasn took over the reigns and put a freaking ad in the paper! When it was all phone trees and emails and word of mouth invites, the method was seamless and fun and a few marriages came out of the experience.

It just hit me that we were kinda the Southern Charmers of the early 1990s! We had movers and shakers, people with money and boats and beach houses, and we went on boat rides and drank a LOT and met up at houses and docks for parties ... I was the poor chick they let ride along because I had organization skills, sat on the committee for the March of Dimes Bid for Bachelors, and looked good in a bikini! LOL, hahahahaha

Re: “Populism, belonging, and inside jokes

I'm happy to say I didn't understand half of what you were writing about. Which makes sense as I tend to be right down the middle of conservative and liberal, I should only "get" half of it anyway! O.o

Re: “Pancito & Lefty's unique flavors will delight with a portions-to-price adjustment

Oh hahahaha, you made a vegetarian laugh at something she should not find funny, i.e., eating meat ...
