Yes great idea we'll just erase history and pretend it never happened. For that matter we should just delete him from the history books a together along with Thomas Jefferson George Washington and everyone else whoever owned slaves in their time.

The dividing lines are much more complicated then painted in this article and business is king and always will be in this society. I completely agree more needs to be done to affect real change but it starts with treating people with dignity one on one and unapologetically helping others. Things like what were done to improve and revitalize public housing and the communities where the poor live will help give them dignity and show them that they do matter but it will also take leadership those that are living in those communities because it can't all be done from the outside.
