Phone: (843) 853-6687

Remember the days when we used to keep weird or mundane thoughts to ourselves? Today, we can thank Twitter for the saturation of needless comments, like Kim Kardashian letting us know she’s eating “the yummiest food right now.” But then there are people who don’t blame Twitter — they actually love Twitter. Like Rob Delaney, who has attracted over 900,000 followers with his comedic tweets, like this one he tweeted on Aug. 27 that said “Sometimes I study my buttocks in the mirror and think, ‘should one man have all that power?’” Delaney, who has been called one of “the Funniest People on Twitter” and received Comedy Central’s 2012 Comedy Award for Best Twitter, will be showing his real life comedic chops at Theatre 99 this weekend. “I think it’s going to be a hilarious show,” says Brandy Sullivan, co-owner of Theatre 99. “He’s one of the happening guys out doing stand-up these days. It’s a big get for Charleston to see someone of his caliber in a 130-seat venue.” This show is recommended for adults only, and the bar at Theatre 99 will serve beer and wine. —Kailey Miller
