Righchus Renaissance

When: Fri., Oct. 16, 7 p.m. 2009
Price: $5

This year saw the sad closing of Charleston’s go-to streetwear boutiques B’Zar and Suite Sole. But the culture and style is still alive in the Holy City, as evidenced by Friday’s Righchus Renaissance event at Eye Level Art. Coordinated by Matt Bostick, a.k.a. local hip-hop artist Righchus, the event is intended to provide a platform for local musicians and visual artists. You’ll find clothes from Brwn Drby (including live screening, so bring your own T-shirt), Nintendo-inspired jewelry from Mock Couture, art from Fletcher 3, and music from DJs Joeski and John Kutter. Admission includes drinks, and you can also get in on a raffle for a free commissioned painting by Fletcher 3. The first 75 people in the door will receive a limited-edition signed print exclusive to Righchus Renaissance. —Erica Jackson
