This is a past event.

When: Sat., July 30, 9-11 a.m. 2011
Phone: (843) 723-9804
On July 21, 2010, Edwin Gardner was hit by a Jeep while riding his bike on Montagu Street in Harleston Village. He was dragged 15 feet and died from his injuries the next day. Gardner was a husband, a father, a cycling activist, and a friend to many in the community. The Lowcountry has lost more lives in cycling accidents in the year since his death. Peter Wilborn, founder of, has organized RIDEdwin, a ride to celebrate Gardner and bring more awareness to cycling issues in Charleston. The day will feature a slow ride for bicyclists of all ages, and there will be food, music, and a celebration once it’s done.
