Re: “Reading the Tea Leaves on Tax Day

"The Time of No Choice"
Mr. Moreduck, Their is no diffenitive out come to the choices our National Government made to increase our economy(on a long term basis). Gov. Samford is doing what he believes is the correct choice for our state, because he has a choice and so we must believe that our Gov. Samford is correct in his dission. We voted him in to office. Also the president was giving a choice and took the short term fix.
Now here is where we must understand that their is history we must look back on in order to solve this spending by the government in this time of turmoil. The view President Obama has is using the same methiod on building our country back as we did after the great depression. Their is only one thing missing World War II. Say all you want about how we surrvived and thrived after the great deppression; it wasn't the policys, or great minds of our time, it was simply World War II. We needed jobs, we needed soldiers, we needed to be the heros, we needed to go to Europe and help win their War.
When it was all said and done we jobs and lots of them. The retuning soldiers came back to a new United States. There was work and lots of it, and not to mention the some money in their pockets. We created the largest industry in the world the "our Military". Gov. Samford is right in that the same proposed plans are now very different. Times are different and a bail out on a bail out is not the answer unless...?
