Groove to the music

It’s gettin’ steamy out there, Charleston, which must mean one thing — it’s Reggae Nights season at James Island County Park. Starting this Friday you can boot scoot boogie on out to James Island to enjoy reggae music, food vendors, and local crafts for sale. This weekend’s concert is performed by Da’ Gullah Rootz, a band that brings Gullah and Geechee influences to reggae, resulting in an ecclectic and diverse sound reminiscent of ska, lovers rock, and dancehall tunes. Guests are invited to bring chairs and blankets, sit back, and relax.
