Re: “Widow of killed cyclist might sue driver, AT&T

oh, whoops! I misread...that IS her lawyer speaking for her. Yikes! Not a smart move, buddy to say that she needs money. A man lost his life. A wife lost her husband and a child lost its father. All us average poor and hard-working people think of when they read this is the whining that a wife who stayed at home and lived it up on her husband's six figures is now having to get a job. It doesn't help her case. Any good lawyer would know that in order to win over the general public, you have to pull on the heart strings. Hate to go there but think of all the stay-at-home military wives....sure the military has decent health insurance but those ladies aren't living off of 6 figures- an average of 38k a year.

My heart breaks for her, but I think she needs a spokesperson or to let her lawyer speak for her now. Instead of talking about no paychecks coming into the household, she should be focusing on the fact that her child will grow up without a father and that justice has not yet been served. I lost my father at a very young age due to medical malpractice. No one was thinking about his "paychecks", but then again my mom worked just as hard as he did. The whole "housewife" thing doesn't really work for either of us.
