Re: “Lucinda Eden

BUYERS BEWARE!!! If you do not live in Charleston, SC be very careful with buying anything custom-made-to-order from this retailer. Her dresses and accessories are beautiful, but her communication, timeliness, and measurement skills are horrendous. I walked by the shop on September 24, 2011 and saw a beautiful bright pink dress made out of an old Indian sari. The dress was a sample and I decided to order one like it from the shop owner/designer, Lucinda Robinson. That day Lucinda took my measurements and said that the dress would be delivered to me at my address in NC no later than November 1, 2011 for a November 12 wedding. November 1 came and went and I heard no word from Lucinda about the dress being late. I called and emailed twice to no avail. Eventually Lucinda emailed me on November 9 to tell me that she had just shipped my dress to me. I received it on the 10th, but unfortunately it was way too big and was not the dress pattern that I ordered. Due to the late delivery I did not have any time to alter the dress. I emailed Lucinda on November 10 to tell her that it did not fit and have not heard a word from her since. I've called three times, emailed twice, and have now resulted to using Facebook, Yelp, anything really in the hopes that she will do something about this. No one should pay as much as you pay for her dresses and it fit this poorly and receive such poor customer service.
