Re: “Review: Streamline Productions debuts with cute but wobbly Annie

I was duly impressed by this local theater production! The kids in the show were amazing, especially considering they all seem to be between 6 and 11!!! The kids I was with loved it and I didn't notice anyone leaving during the performance! Annie is a classic and I felt that the production company did it justice. Considering that the entire show is for charity, I'd say it's definitely worth seeing!

Re: “Folly Beach Residents Report Police Harassment

This sounds like a pretty good example of John Locke's "Second Treatise". When the powers that be are clearly abusing their power, especially one that is designed to protect and serve the public, concerned citizens must take action. If Deputy Shawn James can't understand that his tactics are grossly aggressive simply from the volume of complaints lodged personally against him then the citizens of Folly Beach must make their voices heard to insure the situation doesn't worsen. Efforts must be made to keep a close eye on the harassing deputy and notes of his behavior and the times which they occur must be made and reported. As for the claim that a complaint was handed to an officer and never made it to Boatright's desk is simply inexcusable. Boatright is clearly turning a blind eye towards a worsening situation simply because it's easier to do nothing than take action against a cop who hasn't committed a serious offense...yet. Multitudes of small offenses are just as serious as one large one. I'll be keeping an eye out for Officer James any time I'm out on Folly and I'll definitely reevaluate how interested I am in spending my money on Folly. Nobody wants to put money into a police force that abuses its power against good, peaceful people.
