Re: “Ohioans have invaded the Lowcountry... and some folks wish they would leave

When I read this article I felt pretty offened, the prejudice and hate towards the Ohioans is uneccesary and definitely uncalled for. I'm from Ohio myself and love the feeling of being in the south more so than from where I was born and raised. I love grits , sweet tea, peach pie and the southern twang to everyone's voice. But now reading this I just don't know what to think about this beautiful place. I know that most, myself included would never eat a baby seal and about 90 percent of us think that greased hair just looks stupid and awkward ,it's just the select few that choose to be the followers of those "fashionable" trends. Not to mention its not much colder there than it is here, considering that last year we had absolutely no snow in Cincinnati during the winter and the temperature stayed in the 30's and 50's throughout the winter months. During the summer it is horribly hot and humid, and stays in the 90s and up. There's no where to go except for the polluted and disgusting Ohio river. So yes, we come to your state because we are deprived of your swaying palm trees, seafood and ocean waves. Do you really have to dislike us so much that it comes to the point that you start campaigns that discriminate and single out those northern people that love your state so much and invest every year in it to stay there for just a little while, to get our yearly dose of the good ol' south.
